"Mary's visit was an unqualified success. Over 100 people came to hear her - some had to stand.
It was excellent."
Dr. Ruth Crocker Director, Auburn Women's Studies Program

"Dear Mary,
I was fortunate enough to hear your presentation at Darton College in Albany, GA, yesterday (10/6/2010). You were truly inspiring.  Thank you for taking time to come speak to us.  I was particularly struck by your open-minded approach to people of other cultures and traditions.  Rather than approach them with an "I know it all" attitude, you seem to exude openness, humility, willingness to learn from others.  Wow!  What an impact you must have on the people whose lives you touch.  You definitely had an impact on my life. Your words about others are quiet, yet magnificent and powerful .  Your example of true caring, selfless service and respect for others struck a chord in me that will change me forever. While I cannot travel to Africa or the Middle East to help people, I can help those right here in my own community.
Thank you,
Cindy Hammond"
